Account Director - Krista Thorson

As our Account Director, Krista will oversee our growing account services department and help further our relationships with new and existing clients.

We are getting to know Krista and we look forward to hearing about her summer 2021 adventures! (We not-so-secretly hope she brings in some of her garden goodies to the office too.)

Q&A with Krista:

#1. What was your first job? Little Caesars Pizza. I worked there back when they still sold two pizzas in an order.

#2. Have you ever met anyone famous? I am friends with the 2013 World Air Guitar Champion. It’s really a thing and yes, I’ve been to many local air guitar competitions!

#3.  If you could pick up a new skill in an instant what would it be? Kung Foo Fighting

#4. Got any favorite quotes? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. -Albert Einstein.

#5. Been pleasantly surprised by anything lately? In the middle of the pandemic my mother-in-law made me a basket for me to carry in all my food from the garden. It showed up on my door-step from Arizona during a time when nothing happy was happening on a daily basis.

#6. What’s your favorite family tradition? My husband and I visit the Plaza every year for Christmas. We make spiked coffee drinks to drink while we shop and look at the lights. Then we pick up cheesecake slices to take home for dessert.

#7. Who had the most influence on you growing up? I looked to a lot of my teachers as I grew up.

#8. What was the first thing you bought with your own money?  A 1985 Ford Escort

#9. What’s something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before? Every year I make of list of things in Kansas City I haven’t done or places I have not been to. This year’s list includes Betty Rae’s, KC WineWorks and the WWI museum.

#10. What’s your favorite place you’ve ever visited? The Pacific Coast. My husband and I drove from Seattle down to San Francisco over a 7-day period. The scenery and little towns we found along with our few nights in San Francisco is still our favorite trip we have taken.
