We are excited to welcome our newest #Seismonaut to the team, Jill Hartman!
Account Manager - Jill Hartman

As an Account Manager, Jill will play a critical role in ensuring we live up to the promises we make to our clients. She will also help out with furthering our relationships with existing clients, and helping on-board new clients.

We spent some time getting to know Jill and look forward to seeing what (work appropriate) TikToks you share with the team on Slack!

On that note, let's learn a bit more about this small town girl with big city dreams...

#1: What was your first job? My first job was as a breader at a restaurant called The Chicken Shack. I breaded the chicken, my sister was the fry cook, my best friends were plate fillers, and my other sister was a waitress. Most fun job as a teenager working with your friends and sisters.

#2: Have you ever met anyone famous? Bill Self from the University of Kansas and all of the band members of Bad Flower.

#3: What are you reading right now? Lunchmeat and Life Lessons.

#4: If you could pick up a new skill in an instant what would it be? I would love to learn sign language and Spanish.

#5: Who’s someone you really admire? My parents. They’re resilient and such strong people who’ve survived and persevered through so much in their lives with all the love and compassion for their family.

#6: Seen any good movies lately you’d recommend ? I enjoy TV shows more than movies. I recommend The Handmaid’s Tale, Atypical, Behind Her Eyes, Ozark, American Horror Story, and more.

#7: Been pleasantly surprised by anything lately? The strength and support for small businesses during the Pandemic. While things in the world seemed to be chaotic, I witnessed small business owners and their supporters rise together to thrive through what should have closed business doors.

#8: What was your favorite band 10 years ago? Favorite band now? My favorite band 10 years ago was probably Paramore. Right now probably MachineGun Kelly. I like such a different mix of music though.

#9: What’s your earliest memory? One of my earliest memories was my sister saving my life when I was little. I jumped into some water after a big rain out in the country and I was almost sucked into a long culvert. She laid on the ground and pulled me out of the water while my other sister ran to the house to get my parents. I remember being under the water so vividly. I had to have been 3 or 4.

#10: Been anywhere recently for the first time? Not particularly anywhere new...

#11: What’s your favorite family tradition? Sunday lunch at my parents. Getting to see everyone on Sunday afternoons each week is something I look forward to.

#12: Who had the most influence on you growing up? My father. Since my parents had three girls I was the “tom boy” of the family and always wanted to ride the tractor with my dad, ride horses with him, he taught me how to play football, and how to reap what you sow.

#13: What was the first thing you bought with your own money? The first major purchase I made with my own money that I saved up for was a sewing machine and I still have it today that I love using.

#14: What’s something you want to do in the next year that you’ve never done before? Learn a new language.

#15: Seen anything lately that made you smile? TikToks every single day. People are so creative.

#16: What’s your favorite place you’ve ever visited? Canada. Alberta to be specific but it’s such a gorgeous country and I’m a mountains lover.

#17: What’s your favorite snack? Cuties (clementine's)

#18: What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard? Never give up on something you really want. It’s difficult to wait, but it’s more difficult to regret.

#19: Which season do you like the most, Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall? 1,000% Fall. Close 2nd is winter.

#20: Do you have a favorite charity you wish more people knew about? Shatterproof. It is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming addiction treatment, ending stigma, and supporting communities.

#21: Got any phobias you’d like to break? No phobias but a lot of OCD I need to conquer.

#22: Have you returned anything you’ve purchased recently? Why? Not that I can think of.

#23: Favorite hobbies? Walking and training my dogs, kayaking, painting, sewing, hiking.

#24: What’s your favorite breakfast cereal? Frosted Flakes.
